Tribal Gaming Protection Network Active Shooter and Technology Training Sessions will be held in Ballroom B

 

TGPN Active Shooter Part 1 (TGPN ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING TEAM) | 

9:00 am - 9:50 am 

ATGPN Active Shooter Part 1 will discuss what an active shooter is and what you can do to increase you chances of survival. Understanding what happens to you during an active shooter mentally and physically, what run, hide, fight means and the importance of having an emergency action plan.

TGPN Active Shooter Part 2 will discuss the proper way to report an active shooter to 911 and what you should and should not do during an active shooting before help arrives Then the discussion will focus on what law enforcement will do when arriving to the scene and what to expect.

Casino Security in the 21st Century in Indian Gaming |  11:00 am - 11:50 am 

This class will cover Pechanga Department of Public Safety's approach to providing 21st Century Security. This class will talk about their use of technology, using robots and robots patrolling parking lots & Pechanga Resort & Casino Hotel towers, their use of patrol specialist and service animals, and their use of Veterans to protect the public the tribe, employees, assets, integrity and public image of the tribe. We will talk about the importance of changing with the times and using a technology, and a variety of resources to keep everyone safe.
